You could say that Jess is a study in how opposites attract. And when they do, great things can happen. Growing up in rural New Brunswick, Jess spent her youth hanging out in campgrounds and learning how to drive on four wheelers. But she was bitten by the fine art bug when she won the local Terry Fox colouring contest while still in kindergarten and knew she had found her calling.
Being a true child of the 90s, Jess grew up with computers and has always been fascinated with technology. And while some may argue that technology and art are natural opposites, Jess brought her love of the two together and made a career out of it. She attended the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and majored in interdisciplinary design. Before joining Kula, Jess worked as a freelancer and intern around Halifax while she developed her impeccable design and coding skills.
When she’s not busy making digital magic happen, Jess can be found at the gym pumping iron, reading, watching 90s sitcoms or enjoying a glass of the finest homemade Shiraz.
